We will be hosting Sneak Peek events on Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd.

Both events will take place at 6pm. Players can only enter once per day. Each event costs $20 per player. Players receive 5 packs of The Shining Darkness with which they will build a 20 card deck to duel with 5 other players. After 5 rounds of duels, players will receive a special promo card and be entered into a special drawing to win one of two limited edition play mats on each day. The drawing for the two play mats will take place at 9pm on each day.

Dueling is done in an open play format with 30 minute rounds. Players will simply record their matches with their opponents on the supplied duel card. No other prizes are at stake. This is simply a fun event to give players a taste of what the new set will offer when it is released.

Elder Dragon Highlander is a casual multi-player format.  First, you choose a legendary creature to be your “General”.  Your deck can only contain cards with colors represented on your legendary creature.  Decks consist of exactly 100 cards with no more than 1 copy of any non-basic land.  There are no set restrictions.  For more information about the game and a complete set of rules, you can go to DragonHighlander.net.

Worldwake Launch Party: 7:00pm, February 5th, 2010

Our Worldwake Launch Party will take place on Friday, February 5th @ 7:00pm in place of our regular FNM event.

We’ve got a couple things going on for the WorldWake release this Friday night…

Main Event
Fee: $15.00
Format: Booster Draft (3 packs), double elimination.  As always, the top half of the field will earn a prize consisting of one pack or more depending on place.

Every main event participant will receive one special edition Joraga Warcaller from the WorldWake set.

Secondary event(s)
Players who are not currently participating in the main event can buy into 4-player pack war tournaments @ $5:00 per tournament.  Each player receives one pack of Worldwake, to which they will add 2 of each basic lands to form their deck.  The last player with positive life points gets an additional pack as their prize.

Worldwake Pre-Release Event

On January 29th, we will hold our regularly scheduled Friday Night Magic tournament.  FNM tournaments usually run from 7:00pm until approximately 10:30pm.  At 21:01am, we will run our Worldwake pre-release event.  This event is a sealed deck tournament.  Players pay $30 and receive 6 packs (3x Zendikar & 3x Worldwake) with which they will build their tournament deck.  We only have 16 seats available.  The only way to reserve a seat is to prepay while seats are available.  Prize support information will follow shortly.
